heater vent

if your car overheats you turn on the heater since the heater core is essentially a mini secondary radiator. why cant it be used as such routinely. wouldnt it be easy to design them so the air can be vented outside or into the cabin.

please explain why this is pointless

the radiator is normaly enough to rid the engine of heat, turning on the heater is only a last resort. having to route it outside would just make it more complex, more expensive, and more wieght.
