Winter is here and my s13 doesnt really have any heat. Previous owner deleted the a/c of the engine.

I should be able to have heat still right? No air blows in the vent when i turn it on so what could be wrong?

I just really need that heater and dont care about that ac just the heater

someone give me some insight on this

You are correct that the a/c and the heat are two separate systems. Are you saying that you blower motor does not come on at any of the different speeds? If so you might start first by checking the fuse for that circuit and go from there.

yup does not go on at any speed. looks like the previous owner did not delete the blower motor, def still there.

Checked both fuses under the driver side, both 15a are still good. Is there any fuses in the engine that associates with

the blower motor or any of its component that might give it problems?

Update:
So I went ahead and disconnected my resistor and the wire that goes to it.
Checked the continuity for the resistor tabs and I got all continuity to all 4 tab, I pretty much touch one tab to another and so forth.
Looks like my resistor is ok.

I also Checked the fuses under the driver side and Im getting 11vdc when car is on ignition 2
I also checked all my fuses in the engine bay and no blown fuses.

Image
Checked the wire going to the blower motor and that gets 11vdc as well when its on ignition 2

The one thing that might be bad is the wire going to the resistor. Is there suppose to be voltage coming out of here?
Got 0 all around

Take a test light and be sure you have power at your fuses and the relay. You can back probe the motor connector and see if you have power there also. I have a picture of the heating circuit wiring diagram I could email you if you would like. It won't post here since its copyrighted.

Ok Ill check that first thing tomm as soon as I get back from work.

Will report to you what I find.

Relay is behind the center dash correct? Like I said fuses havent popped but Ill check the output voltage on those

Thanks for the insight :)

Got it solved :)

all my checks for fuses, resistors and wires were all good so I went ahead and dropped the blower motor as I assumed

its the culprit of it all. Before that though I ran a wire from the battery to the blower motor to really see if it was bad.

Hooked it up and what do you know.. no spinning. Tried it a few more times just to make sure. My last attempt I tried spinning

it while hooked it up and BAM it started to spin. Guessing something binded it and I loosened it up. Hooked it up to the original

wiring and my heater/defroster is up and running again. Buttoned it up and now my 240 can be driven during the cold :dblthumb:

Thanks again! hope this helps someone in the future

Good to hear. Hopefully you cleaned out that rats nest pictured in the resistor photo
