Well I have done a search and still cant come up with anything. The problem is my heater is not getting hot. I gets kind of warm but just not hot like it should. This is what I got... S14 /w S13 sr20detstock thermoadjustable thermo controlled fansbrand new water pumpkoyo radIn my search it says that the heater hoses in the back could be reversed but Ive got the one that makes a big U going to the top inlet on the firewall and te other on the bottom. Is that right? Ive bled the system I think pretty good considering I ve had this swap for about 6 months now. Also, I can let my car idle for 30min straight and it wont even heat up then. please give me any ideas you can. thanks.

Either air in the system or bad heater core. Bleed the car on an uphill slope with the front up the hill.

since your thermo is stock it could be stuck from opening and letting the coolant to cycle through correctly, also lower the mixture by adding more water and less coolant

Have you replaced the thermostat since you did the swap? If not, replace it due what fregisr said. It could be stuck open. That happened to me last winter. Blows balls when you're trying to drive out of town for a weekend and you have no heat.

Yes I did replace the thermo. Just not a nismo one. During the swap, could any thing have been disconnected? I cant get in touch w/ the guy that helped me do it. I checked a while ago to see if the heater core was leaking and it wasnt. What could cause this not to work because my heater was super hot before the swap. Thanks.

i just realized this is in an S14. Double check on your hoses coming off the motor for a cable going to the a fitting in the middle of your heater hose. Make sure it wasn't disconnected or cut or has too much slack in it.

now, for heater hose placement, I'm gonna steal a picture from Sport Compact Car (cause i don't have any good pictures of heater hoses). The one that starts going across the back of the head and then gets turned around goes to the upper hose fitting on the firewall. The other one that just goes right goes to the lower firewall fitting.

Thats true I removed this toggle but its an inline flap like the throttle body that keeps fluid from flowing into the heater core. We had to manual open my buddies to get his hot air to work.

Well, during the swap I took the valve off and ran straight hose. Should I have not done this?

can you take a picture of this flap you are talking about. I don't remember seeing any flap like in the hose.

how can you tell w/ a stock thermo gauge if the thermostat is hung open? Any more ideas or test that you guys can offer would be greatly appriciated. One more thing... If my antifreeze mixture is wrong would it cause that much of a difference?
