Heater Problems

I live in Northern Illinois, and its FREEZING COLD, and my Heater decided to go out. I wanna have some kind of idea of what could be wrong before i go out and get hypothermia. The A/C doesnt work either. The Fuses to the blower motor are working. the lights do turn on the console. It doesnt work at all, not an any level BUT when turned on i can hear the engine working harder like it does when its working. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. This for an S14 BTW

is ANYTHING happening on any setting? it might be your hvac unit. when i bought the s14, only my heater worked and it wouldnt change vents. i switched out the hvac, and now i have full ac, heat, and all controls work.
