when you flushed the heater core, did you put the hoses back on the right way?

Did you put the thermostat in backwards. I read a post a while back about some one who did that but I couldn't remember if the end result was the car wouldn't warm up or the car would warm up too mcuh (overheat).

So basically my post is useless, but maybe someone who reads this could clarify what happens when you put the thermostat in backwards.

Well if you put a thermo in backwards it doesnt open and your block overheats.

Have you ever used something like stop leak for radiators on your car? Alot of times those products will plug up the valves that open and close your heater core.

Check to make sure you have your heater core plumbed correctly first.

LOL...this is messed...the new thermostat is in properly, the plumbing for everything is put in the right way... I put a brand new water pump in... got my cooling system flushed professionally...also flushed the heater core....checked for any air locks...and still the this put out a minimum amount of heat...it also take like 30 mins of driving for the engine to warm up a little... only thing i can think of is that i need to change the heater core and for the engine heating up i just dont know....ZED
