I live in wisconsin and the temp are gettin real cold and I leave my car outside becasue i dont have a garage. I start my car 10 minuts early and ill be lucky to have heat even after driving for 15 minutes. It will work but only after a good 30 minuts? Also the other day when i had my fan up to 4 and heat full blast....my temp gauge read super hot of the scales. Maybe related?

thanks in advance

eric

Best case, you need to replace your thermostat, Worst case (like me) head gaskit is leaking. My gaskit was bad enough I couldn't even keep a thermostat in it. It's also not a bad idea to pop your water pump off and make sure it's fine. You'll just need a new gaskit.

like he said, of course theres the basics like check the fluids and see if your leaking fluids too, prolly the thermostat not opening up though

What exactly does the thermo do cause i checked all the fluids and it seems pretty decent. O and also im not sure if this matters but some of the emissions stuff is removed like the AIV and couple others but shouldnt effect that much. Heater core probly isnt the problem then right?
