My heater fan on my 1990 240sx isn't working, meaning I turn it to 1, 2, 3, 4 and none of them are working . I checked all the fuse all of them are fine.

Vehicle information 1990 240sx se no ac SR20det swap.

I really need help because I live in Utah and winter is just right around the corner please help.

Not sure if the older cars have it. But a lot of new cars have...I can't remember the name, but I change a ton of them in the winter on newer Nissans. It looks like a big circuit board, but it has it's own harness and connector. It controls the fan speeds. Usually all but one will blow out, but if it gets bad enough. I've seen some practically melted.

Are you at least getting power to the fan? With the car acc or on, turn the fan on and check the fuse with a test light or voltmeter. If your good, then go to the main harness to the blower motor. I haven't tore apart my dash yet, but some cars you have to to access it. Idk, I haven't really looked for it yet, but it could also be on the floor against the firewall, on top of the transbell. If you get this far, check the wires at the harness to see if you have power. If you do, replace your blower motor. Could save you money.

the resistor blowing out would only result in off and 4 working. If none of them are going, check to see if there's power going to the blower motor and if there are any blown fuses.

okay. So I put a multimeter to the two 15 amp fuse with the function being off it reads 0 of course, with it being on #1 it reads zero, on #2 reads zero, #3 zero, and #4 zero. I switch out the whole control unit and the fan still doesnt work, I know that my control unit is working because when you hit the button for air to recirculate inside the car I can hear it change over, etc...

so my next question is, where is my blower motor located at? and how can I test it? also some of my friends said there's a Rely somewhere can anyone point me to where this is located at?

pull off the glove box and you'll see it to the right.
