heater core

have a 1997 Nissan pickup XE 2.4 liter auto transmission.it look like coolant is leaking out of a/c drip hole. heater work great. floor is dry as a bone. have to add coolant about once a week.is it possible for heater core to be leaking this way.

Can you smell coolant inside the cabin?

Easy way to find out - pressure test the radiator, if the core is leaking you should be able to detect a leak in the heater core. Test the radiator cap, its possible the cap is not holding pressure and the antifreeze is boiling out the cap.
