Ok new owner and forums user here, tryed searching for countless hours but nothing seems to give me a straight answer...
Got a 06 Altima 2.5l with 156k on it with absolutely no heat coming from vents ... all controls (speeds, vents , actuator) work like they are supposed to, I flushed the heater core with the garden hose and not much junk came out but had constant solid water flow thru it... with the car runnin at operating temp everything feels fine( both upper and lower radiator hoses get hot when they are supposed to) temp does not fluctuate, the only thing is both hoses to the heater core are ice cold. Burped the cooling system but still no luck

Please help pointing me in the right direction I’m out of ideas

Thanks

Welcome to NICO.

about the only thing I can see that would cause this is the water control valve, see this: http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/Altima/2006/co.pdf

But wouldn’t a faulty water control valve cause improper coolant flow cause the car to over heat or not reach operating temp? I thought about the t-stat but like I said the temp gauge stays put and both radiator hoses get hot showing “proper” coolant flow right?

What am I missing here
