About a year ago, I purchased a 2012 M35h with ~80k miles. Thought it was in perfect condition, only to find out that the heater core needed to be replaced (driver's side no hot air, January in Chicago, not a good combination). Long story short, the dealer "fixed" it, but the process of fixing it screwed up things elsewhere that they were never able to properly diagnose or fix, and I got rid of the thing.
2nd baby on the way, and we're looking for something that can accommodate my tall frame (6'4") and a rear-facing child seat. I still really miss the M, and I'm seriously considering picking up a used Q70 L (not a specific one yet, still have a few months). I don't know that I'd call it a "common" issue, but when they fixed my heater core they had 3 other M's in at the same time for the same issue. Anybody know if this is something that's been fixed in the newer vehicles? Has anybody had to have this piece replaced again after already replacing it? Love the car, but I'm not interested in going through that mess again.
