My defrost in my car doesn't work. No matter what button you press on the heater control, dash, floor, defrost it always comes out of the vents. Someone told me the vacuum line originally operated it may not have been hooked back up when the engine was swapped. Is there anyway to tell? Thanks in advance.

Our HVAC controls are electric with a cable attached to a flapper valve next to the heater core to control flow speed. There should be no vacuum source that regulates HVAC control. More than likely you just have a bad unit that needs replaced. Before you go replacing anything though, take the time to make sure that a connection on the HVAC controller didn't pop out or on the blower box.

So I would just want to pull the unit out (unit lol) and check the connections and go from there?
