Heater Blowing Cool Air

Hello all.A few days back I bought a 04 G35x AWD. Ive noticed with the heater set on the hotter settings, when I idle it starts to slowly cool and blow cool air. But when I rev the engine, or start moving it get hot enough to melt your shoes.Ive added anti-freeze, and there doesnt seem to be a leak.Also the temp gauge stays the same at the mid way point, does not fluctuate during all this.Ive had people tell me it needs a good flush maybe theres air in the system... Broke thermostat... Heater coil clogged up.What do you guys think, anyone else have this problem?Thanks in advance.Danny

Sounds like the heater core is clogged. I would have it drained, flushed, then back flushed 2-3 times. That should take care of it. It that doesn't solve the problem then it will require replacing.

Tomorrow i have an appointment at Nissan to have it flushed (150 bucks) so I hope that takes care of it. Other than this problem, the 6 days ive had this car I must say I love it.

Let us know the outcome of flushing the system. I have done this 3x in the last 2 weeks on Passats that were having the same issue. All 3 were fixed and didn't require heater core replacements.

UpdateThe Nissan dealership did the flush and replaced the anti-freeze yesterday. He told me there was air in the system. Now it works like it should.Thanks for the replies, I was concerned, I see dollar bills with wings on them flying away from me when things like this happen.Thanks againDan

Hey guys thanks for the advice i didn't take it to a dealership i just took it to my coner jiffy lube the guys let me stand their and watch it was pretty cool. but anyway it works fine and i'm only out of $99.00 so thanks a lot for the advice.

hi i got infinity g35 and i was got soon engine and vdc slip lights on and i replace throttle Chamber and now i got all lights off but after one day i replace throttle Chamber i loosed hitting inside the car and temperature go to height and getting hot so fast like temperature go all way up like in 20 min so if u can tel mi something aboutthank u

I am not one to normally be picky about spelling and punctuation but YOU HAVE TO DRAW A LINE SOMEWHERE.

I can't understand what you are saying. Put that in Microsoft Word and edit til you have no more color underlines.
