heater and air conditioning question

i have a base 3.5se with the regular SINGLE climate controls.... i noticed that no matter what mode i put it on, air blows through the defroster. i mean it will still go to the feet or chest but it will also blow like 50% of the air to the defroster.... are all altima coupes like this ?

no....i would say that something didn't open or close properly when you were changing direction with the HVAC - i would just take it to the dealer to have them fix the inside motors that control the air paths.

nope...my car doesn't do that...but i have the dual climate control. don't know if that matters or not

when i put it on auto the AAIR thing comes on always.. but i want heat! lol or when i try n put just the window defroster on.. the "auto" comes on and its "air" agian..

The system is working correctly. On ACC-equipped cars, the AC light does not necessarily mean cooling, but that the system will use it for either cooling or dehumidification depending on temperature. You will still get heat if the inside temp is lower than the temp setting you have chosen. In defrost mode, the AC is likewise used to dehumidify the air which helps remove the moisture on the window.
