A few of my friends were helping me get my car running and one of them accidentally loosened up the line which i expect was holding freon. It's that thick line with the heavy duty bolts at the ends on the drivers side of the engine. Needless to say it started hissing out something.

Fast forward to now when the car is running. I was driving around with the AC fan on full blast when it suddenly stopped. Seemed very electrical in how it doesn't blow anything anymore. the switches light up but none of them do anything. Does it sound like too much freon was let out and the low pressure switch activated?

i think it was one of those 2 hoses at the bottom left corner of the pic.

my mistake, the hose isn't one of those 2 in the corner. It's same side, but closer to the driver, a little passed the exhaust manifold.

The A/C will not work if too much refridgerant was released to keep the compressor from burning up. The blower motor (A/C fan) will still operate.

Does blower motor still work on all or any speeds?Does the A/C button light illuminate with the fan switch on?Does the compressor cycle on and off?

I need more info on these questions to be more helpful.

Okay umm, the blower motor stopped at all speeds I'm sure of that. I'll have to check the rest tomorrow, I'll also look up more info on compressors to see if its doin it's thing.
