Heater/AC fan issues.

My ac/heat fan only works on #4 setting on the dial. Anyone else have this problem? I'm pretty sure I've checked all the fuses in the car and I've pretty much narrowed it down to the actual console. Just thought I'd check before I rip my dash apart.

hmmm never had this problem but i dont think youd need to rip the dash apart. get a new climate control unit and swap it out to see if that helps first. shouldnt be more than $20 at the yard or classifieds.

I say first pull out your climate control box and check for contnuity between pin 28 and 23,24,25,26,27. If continuity checks out then check your resistors and wires for current as you cycle through the fan speeds. Then replace faulty equipment. See diagram attached for connector wiring diagram.

hey, I am having the same problem. Setting 1,2,3 dont really work, but it works only on 4. And even then the air isnt hot. Is that how yours was?Also, was your car running at standard operating temp.? Cuz mine doesnt really go to the standard, its always below.Sorry its late on the subject but i have to know.
