I'm trying to find a working heater control panel. When I call yards that have a Q, they want to know the build date. Hollander (as used by http://www.car-part.com) lists 4 of them: throu 7/90, 8/90 only, 9/90 only, & from 10/90.Are there really that many different control panels used, or is this a glitch in the Hollander interchange manual?

Any controller from a 90-93 will work. The interchange is probably based on Nissan's rolling part number changes. The part numbers run 60U01-60U06 through their revisions. If you buy a new one from a dealership today you get the 60U06. I would look for one of those if you're buying a used one.

I did that and it was still not working correctly. The display worked, but was dim around the edges. I would save some time and effort, spend the $100, and have it rebuilt by Jerry Tucker... the failures are so common you can easily try three or four controllers and still end up sending one to him to be rebuilt.

Good luck!
