heater a/c fan noise 2011 rogue

I have a heater a/c fan that has become home to a mouse. I had the dealer clean it out once. They didn't know if they got it all. I did caught 3 mice but they filled up my fan before I did. Now the dealer wants $1000 to take the dash apart and remove the blower to clean the debris. How can I get into the system to clean it out my self? We took off the Glove box but it looks like a closed system underneath and everything we have read you have to remove the steering wheel. What I want to know is how I can get inside like the dealer did the first time as it only cost me $200 that time.

This doesn't help as it is for an older vehicle, mine doesn't look like that when we took off the glove box. What we did finally do is take off what we could we then started the car and turned on the max ac and a door came open and we could see right into the fan. Funny thing it wasn't jamb packed like the dealer had said. We just found a dead mouse and a little bit of insulation. I'm not going back to that dealer again. What a rip off.
