heated windshiels nozzles.....?

my dads bmw crashed its totaled so i scavenged the heated nozzles and the HID's, and the headlights for a retro fit. but the problem is i can't figure out a way to power them up. should i let them on heat all the time, make them work along with the spray motor or when the rear window de frost and head mirrors. which is the best way and where can i find the electronic schematics for it

I wonder if any bimmer forums know where to find FSMs or at least wiring diagrams?

From my understanding, they're normally operated automatically by a thermostat. But having them come on with either defroster would be just as effective, I think.
