heated throttle

does anyone know how to bypass the heated throttle will this increase horsepower? Pretty soon i will be driving in -0 degree weather, should i just leave it ? thanks a lot

you just unplug the two water lines and conect them, I wouldnt do that in the winter though, its designed for winter driving to keep the throtle plate from sticking I think.

yup, thats its purpose in life. id say leave it, your gonna gain like .385 horsepower and its not gonna idle right in the winter.

I wouldnt remove them, I believe they are there to keep the throttle body warm because it will freeze the throttle plate under certain conditions. Not necassarly cold conditions. Its some phenominon or something.

Acutally, it's there to "help" regulate a little valve to feed more air into the intake while idling to induce a slightly lean condition to help heat up the car more. Once the coolant going through there is warm enough that valve will close. Ever notice how you start your car on cold days and the idle is higher then normal? And your foot is not even on the pedal? Well this is true for the honda's so I figure it might be similar to 240's.
