So I picked up a 2008 QX56 a little over a month ago. So far I like it a lot. However, just last week the heated steering wheel stopped functioning. I checked the fuse and it looks OK. I also can hear the clicking behind the dash when I press the button, so i assume the relay is working fine. Any ideas what this might be? Is this a common problem in these trucks?

Thanks!
Todd

First off, congrats on the QX56, that is an amazing rig! I had an '08 with the heated steering wheel and I also have it on my 2010...........NEVER had an issue, and I don't know of anyone that has, Nissan has had the heated steering wheels on Maximas and various other Nissan /Infiniti models, not an issue, that is for sure. But who knows, maybe yours did go out, you never know. I use mine all the time, I am not one to wear gloves, so I do like the feature, a lot. It is possible a harness is unplugged somewhere? Any recent work done on it?

I had the truck in for service a few weeks ago. They did an ECU flash, and replaced my puddle lamps in the driver front and rear doors. I didn't think they would have been anywhere near any harness plug for the steering wheel. Could be wrong though.

My local infiniti dealer is a total ripoff in their service dept, so I was avoiding taking the truck back to them. Oh well...
