Is it just my car or does it take FOREVER for the seat heater to work??? I start my car to warm it up for 10 min. and still get frostbite on my azz when I get in. Either setting does the same thing....it seems to start working only after I get to high rpms once or twice. Anyone else have these issues???

Yes it works slower and less heat than most other cars. Don't know about the 10 minutes. I use it every day and it works fine I can feel it after 2-3 minutes of idle(warm up the car) below freezing point outside.

I actually like how it is. My wifes car heats like crazy. I have to turn the damn thing off after 10 minutes it cooks my a$$. On my G it just give enough heat to leave it on all the time when it is cold outside.

You can take it to the dealer and they can test it.

The heated seats are pathetic. If I left a flashlight on in my pocket, it would produce more heat than the heaters.

I own a Cadillac CTSV with heated seats, and those are a hundred times hotter than the G35. In fact, they tend to get too hot, so you run them on low and they're perfect.

The dealer will tell you the seats are functioning normally.

I wonder if there is something wrong with your heaters. Mine takes about as long as zozo's to feal. It take probably 10 mins to get to completely hot.

Once I feel it, it works great....not too hot. It just takes forever. Closest Infiniti dealer is almost 2 hours away but will try the local Nissan dealer. The Nissan dealer HATES Infiniti and usually just says "take it to the Infiniti dealer". Jackazz

So I guess the Cadi is not good either. If it is too hot than what is the use for that setting? Why not just low?

That is the same way like my wifes car. That's why I like Infiniti's het. Not too hot. If you don't think there is a different between the 2 setting just put it on the higher and leave it till i reaches the highest temperature than put it to lower. You'll fel the differences.

All things being equal, I'd prefer too hot to "not hot enough". You can always cool it down if it gets uncomfortable, but you can't make it hotter if it won't go there.

Here in Chicago, the morning temperatures are in the mid teen's lately, so a little extra heat in a hurry is waaaay welcome.

I usually run mine on high for about 15 minutes and then it gets too hot so I switch to low and it keeps temps just right. Now my heater is another story. As soon as my car warms up I turn the heater on and within 2 minutes I can't breath it's so hot in the car. My '04 maxima was the exact opposite.

A couple of times I pushed the switch, the light came on but no heat. I t seems that the light can come on but unless you give it a firm push down it doesn't make contact to actually turn the heaters on. On high mine will start to burn you in about 2-3 minutes. I wish the a/c worked as well as the heater. That sucker will burn you up in no time!

Even on auto controll if you set to the temperature ?

What I usually doing is iopen my car start the engine and turn on the heat to the max all to the windows and hit defrost at the same time. Than I turn on the heated seat. Lock the door and come back in 2 minutes. The car is warm so I turn down the temperature to my taste it is about 23 celsius and hit auto. From that point it distributes the air in all different ways.

I agree the seats take forever to heat up and I am still not sure which setting is high because since it takes so long to heat up the seat I can't tell the difference. I am glad to know I am not the only one who thinks the heated seats suck. I would say 10 min to heat up for me as well.

I have an 04 and the seats get to max heat after about 5 minutes. The seats don't get real hot but they get the job done. I would say they're just right The real question at hand is why do they make toasters with settings that will burn your toast? Guess what I'm getting at is I don't think I would want them to be real hot. Don't want to drive around with swamp A$$

I find that if my car is idle in the cold that the seats won't warm up until I start driving. As soon as the engine is warm (normally ~3 min with Royal Purple) the seat heaters get hot. I find that on the higher of the 2 settings is too hot for me and I turn it off after 5 min or so.
