I just bought an '04 G35 with 30,000 miles on it. I really love the car.

One thing that kinda bothers me though is the driver's side heated seat. It comes on and works fine with one exception: the back and butt part of the seat warms up nicely but the legs and nuts part doesn't. Having one part of my bottom warm and the other cold makes it seem even colder on the part that isn't warm. Did that make sense? I do notice that the driver's seat looks physically different than the passenger's seat. The cover has three sections sewn together whereas the passenger is all one piece.

I'm wondering if part of the heater element is not working or if that is how these seats all are?

Thanks!

If it isn't heating up evenly throughout the bottom side of the seat, then there may be an open in the heat coils? Sounds like a teardown is in order. Pull the seat when you have the available garage space, and check the underside for any visible dark spots or with a multimeter. I'm not sure of the actual resistance to them, but you should be able to run along the wires and there would be quite a difference in the area you're talking about. Or have someone you trust...and can watch/help with this project.

Either that or get a girlfriend to warm your nuts for you!!

And, yes...the driver's seat and the psgr. seat are different in looks... that's to attract the ladies (talking out of my arse!!)

I'll have to take a seat in the passenger side and see if it is any different.

Thanks for the help.

Now that we've had a little cooler weather here in Colo., I noticed that mine...with the sport seats, doesn't necessarily get a whole lot of heat all the way down the thighs, but Mr. Johnson doesn't have any trouble staying warm.

Cottage Grove, eh? The mother of my children grew up there. Her house was right off 61 & the train tracks. I was looking at the maps, & it looks like the houses there may have been leveled....oh well.
