This car is so solid for a 13 year 225K KM car it's amazing. It runs so smoothly.

I just got the car and noticed that both the heated seats on either setting do no heat. The lights come on the control switch. Other than the obvious like a fuse, etc what else could this be?

I am also having trouble with the drivers side door lock, the door will not unlock properly with the key. You hear the actuators working, all the other doors open and close fine just the drivers door is intermittent. Is it the actuator or latch that is the problem. Also the remote does not work mind you the dealer said the it might be the ignition switch as the buzzer does not sound when the key is put in the ignition....?

Lastly, I get a slight vibration occuring close to my feet..it feels like a drive line type of shake but it is ever so slight...it does not feel like a wheel/tire out of balance as the steering wheel does not shake at all..

Any ideas on these things chaps.

BTW: Is there as way of adding a ski pass through/bag to this car. It would be a simple process to cut the sheet metal behind the rear arm rest...does Infiniti sell a kit for this?

I need to replace the steering wheel as the leather is torn plus some door trim stuff that is broken and torn door inserts...whats the best place to source this cosmetic stuff please?

Sorry for all the questions guy's.

TIA.

Ben

The gas tank is behind the rear seats, it would be impossible to fit skis through there.

Try cleaning the switch. I had the same issue. Somehow one year I dripped a tiny bit of coffee or slushy down there. Cleaning it got it to work again for a short time and than I needed a new switch. The switch is easy to pull out. Its a plug and play affair.

Agreed, there are 2 connectors to check, under the seat and at the button

If its both seats, which is odd, I would think fuse (which it sounds like you've checked) or worse case the computer.

Well chaps, I had a bad day.....the J30T I bought was a total disaster. I went to start it this morning and the engine/transmission made the most horrendous metal on metal grinding noise....I tried putting into drive and it made even more noise...shut her off..call the dealer I bought it from and told them they can take it back..which they are doing thank God!.

When out this evening and bought a one owner 95 Maxima SE 25 speed with 240K KM on the clock...the thing is immaculate for its age, the lady owner had all the service records on file which made me feel much better. It drove very nicely and tracked nice and straight. So I guess I will be heading over the the Maxima forum.

Thnaks for all your help chaps....I very much appreciate it. Maybe talk to some of you guys again.

Thanks again,

Ben

The metal on metal sound was likely the flywheel. It loses teeth over time or when someone over ignitions while starting or when started.

Congrats on your Maxima. It would certainly be better for all that mountain pass snow since it's front wheel drive.
