Got no response to an earlier post about the heated seats...IF there were a problem with the heating element in the seat what is the procedure for repair? Should I be concerned about removing the seat and/or the seat cover? I ask this because in my '06 they removed the seat for something I cannot remember and it was never the same. Was loose and I think there was some sort of module that controlled the outside mirror that got screwed up too. The exact problem is that only half of the bottom seat heats up or at least I'd say the seat is heating up unevenly. I am also concerned that if it does not heat correctly it may not cool correctly. Advice would be greatly appreciated.

This is a new 2013 M37X.

So your 2013 is having seat issues? Why not just go to the dealer? Don't you have warranty? If they don't get it right, keep going back. It's their dime (warranty), not yours. That's what you should have done with the 06 as soon as you noticed it wasn't back to like new after they did the fix (seat and mirror).

I have every intention of going back to the dealer. I wanted to be armed with as much info as possible about the heated seats. For example I learned from other posts that the "system" is an air system not a heating wired system which helps. Asking if others had the problem may help in identifying a solution. I want to avoid wasting time ( multiple trips to dealer) and getting as much info to be able to make an intelligent request when taking the car in again for the same issue.

As far as my '06 it was out of warranty and it was several weeks when I realized the mirror was broke and too much time elapsed to point a finger at the dealer/service.

BUMP
Additional info:Has anyone else had a problem with the heat AND cooling working better on left side of seat? The heating and cooling is uneven and almost undetectable on the right half of the seat cushion.

I am going to go back to the dealer but would appreciate help in describing what would be involved with taking off the leather covering and getting to the unit. I have this notion that if the seat is removed or the leather covering removed there'll be problems after. In my '06 they once did work on the drivers side seat and the mirrors got fouled up. This is my '13 M37. Thanks

If this is like any other Nissan seat...the leather is 'strapped in' with clips on the bottom as well as behind the rear backing. You have to pull off the rear seat cover (where kids feet usually kick) and you'll see all sorts of clips holding the leather in. This is what I found when I was changing my Maxima seats from cloth to leather.

But, it might be totally different in this car. I figure any answer is better than no answer.

I've been away from my computer. Thanks for your input Ilyakol, I appreciate it.
I really thought that there has been seat repair experiences with others and would appreciate additional input.
