Heated seats don't seem to work

My 96 SE is equipped with the heated seats option. when i flick the switch the light comes on but my butt doesn't get warm!!! I was driving around for almost an hour last weekend with it on and didn't notice any heat at all. is there a fuse that could be blown or any other common problem i can look for?? thanks

If neither seat works, look for a fuse. They should both work on the same 10A fuse located in the main fuse box under the dash. If you don't find one there, look in one of the under-dash fuse blocks. If one seat works and the other doesn't there is a thermostat control which will turn the seat on and off to keep it from over heating. The thermostat should be located somewhere under the seat. Swap the thermostat with the seat that works and see if that fixes the problem.

I wish I had gotten heated seats in my Pathy.My Altima has them, and when it's -20C, they are the nicest thing ever.Too bad I never get to drive it (wife's daily driver).Oh well.

mine doesnt generally have heated seats, only on the days where i had taco bell or excessive amounts of budweiser the night before.

Ah yes, driver supplied heat source. Cheap, but usually unreliable, and with poor thermostat control.
