Let me explain a little more. It's difficult to find good leather in the 1st gen Q's so I looked for a 94'. When I got them (about $100 bucks on ebay) the driver's seat cushion wasn't in top shape, but the passanger cushion was. I ended up taking the best of 3 seats. I now have a hybrid 92'/94' driver's seat. I have the heating elements, back leather and some of the pad from a 94'. The frame, some padding, and arm rest from the92', and the passanger side cushion leather from a 94. The net result is a 92' seat with heating element

My issue now is I didn't get a seat switch when I got the seats.
The seat heater switches are located in the center console in the Q45. I'm not sure about the J30. I haven't looked at the schematic for the wiring (lost my FSM in the move),but I'm hoping it isn't too dificult.
