Heated seat not working..

I turn it on and the light stays on for about 30 seconds and shuts off. What could this be?

Do you have heated and cooled seats? Could be the fan if you do, check if the filter is in place or if there's hair stuck in the fan. If they're heated only then perhaps the heater pad has a short. You would have to use a multimeter to test the resistance. Grab the fsm for your seats I'm sure it contains troubleshooting tips.

I have heated and cooled seats. A few months ago the filter had came off and I thought that was the problem. I found an old thread on here that showed how to put it back in. I did it 2 weeks ago. It only took a few seconds. But the problem is still there.

The problem very well may be that there is something like hair stuck in the fan. Should I remove the filter and try to vaccum in there or see if I can pull anything out?
