I'm replacing my heated O2 sensors and I'm wondering if anyone has any advice as to the best way to get at these? The right sensor looks pretty easy but the left sensor looks pretty tucked away. I bought one of those O2 sensor sockets and now I'm ready to tackle this. Thanks!1993 J30

heat is gonna b ur best freind for doing any exhuast work. i cant say the best way to get at the o2 cause im not a j30 owner but it might be easyer from under the car. back to the heat idea... get urself a portable propane bottle from the harware store. thats teh cheapest MAPP gass is the better but thats bout $30 a bottle as compared to 7 for propane. or if can get oxy-acetalyne torch thats ideal. just keep the heat away from the gas lines and ull be safe. good luck

I was able to get them off with a 22mm wrench. The socket didn't work. The left side was done from above the car (not much room) and the right side was easy to get to from under the car.
