Everything is possible...either with oem parts or aftermarket parts. The questions is more about the cost...sometimes it's cheaper to buy fully loaded car to have all the toys upfront.

I never considered heated mirrors a toy always considered them for safety ,I took it for granted they were heated, live and learn. My problem is Nissan they told my they would have to reprogram the computer to do it????? the mirrors are cheap 165 for both

In my understanding they heating up when you defrost rear window. So all you need is a heating mirror kit with heating element and harness connected and fused to a defrost button. You can always put your own aftermarket button and connect them to a different power source but there will be no timer to turn them off after certain point which is not going to be safe. In my opinion this option is nice to have but something that everyone can live without.

New to the site myself and wondering the same thing. What my son told me, and he knows far more about wiring on Motor Vehicles then I ever did, there would have to be a scan done for the system 2 recognize the heated mirrors.
I forget the system he mentioned. I'll have to look and post again, or edit
I have a 2009 Rogue and heated mirrors would be nice living in Western New York.
Can anyone say lake effect snow?

Ok, he stated that Nissan uses a "CANbus" System, basically a communication system for the car's computer system.
He said even if it's pre-wired it would have to be scanned in order for the system to recognize it.

I'm an old school Marine Corps heavy junk mechanic. All this computer crap is little more than Greek to me.

When we bought our 2016 SV, we had driven the SL with heated mirrors with built in blind spot mirror (not be confused with blind spot alert system). We decided on an SV instead of the SL but my wife liked the blind spot mirror from the SL. So I asked the lead teach at the dealer if the Rogue was pre-wired for a heated mirror. If so, I wouldn't just replace the mirror glass with the blind spot mirror but the heated blind spot mirror. He told me it was not pre-wired and actually showed me after removing the factory mirror glass. The required wire (I think he said it was grey) was not located inside the mirror housing. I ended up replacing the factory flat glass with the OEM blind spot glass (non-heated).

BTW, both the heated and non-heated were $114 OTD at my NIssan dealer.
