I got the rogue SL with premium Package. i have the heated mirrors switch and, the mirror heaters fuse in the fuse box. ofcource i didn't get the heated mirrors because its part of the leather package.I am gussing everything is pre wired already. Is it just a software type a thing to get the mirrors to heat up. What do you guys think Please????

Welcome to the forum!

The heated mirrors are activated with the same switch as the rear defroster. Unfortunately it's not just a simple 'software' fix to enable the heated mirror option. You actually need to add the heated mirror assembly and the associated wiring harness to your car. I am unsure if any Rouges come with the wiring harness since many other options don't have thier respective harness if it was not part of the vehicle to start with. (ie Bose Audio, fog lights, moonroof etc).

Now what would it take? I've checked the FSM and the heated mirror harness is combined with all the other functions for the door. You would have confirm the wires are there, the relay is installed (it's in the engine compartment) and power is applied when the defrost switch is activated. You would then need the mirror heater. Nissan does sell replacement mirror glass with the heater built-in, but likely you need the entire mirror assembly to get the heater wiring harness from the mirror to the door. The mirror assembly will set you back approx for $150 each side.

For canucks, the heated mirrors are standard in Canada on all models. I wish their options packages were more varied. There is stuff in the premium package I would like but couldn't justify going for it just for that. I think in northern USA heated mirrors would be nice without having to cough up for a full blown premium or leather package. Hopefully Nissan will spread out their options more in the next model year.

Like member tellurian said, all Rogues sold in Canada come standard with heated side mirrors. Don't ask me why Nissan USA opted out. I guess they think everyone drives in California?

Anyway, I haven't used the mirror heaters much. And I haven't had a fogging issue yet. I suggest you try a cheap solution like some sort of anti-fog glass cleaner or something?
