Hey everyone I'm new to the forum and have a problem I'm trying to figure out. My wife has a 08 Rogue with dealer installed aftermarket heated leather seats. Recently both seats heat has stopped working. I've checked fuses and under the seats for any lose connections but have found nothing obvious wrong. Has anyone else ran into this problem and if so what should I check. Next step will be to the dealer but if I can figure it out and save a trip it will be more convenient.

Thanks,

Mike

This really warrants a trip to the dealer. The car's under warrantee. It's their problem. A trip back to the dealer with a new car is a 'pita', but shouldn't cost you a cent.

You might find that the dealer does not warranty aftermarket products they have installed. I'm not sure about heated seats.

I bought and 05 Titan with tons of aftermarket gear; including some fat 22's. What a pain in the a$$ that was. Oh, and then insurance company did not insure aftermarket products as they were not on the original vin. If you haven't figured it out I had a cracked wheel. Evidently they did it during the install. In the end I got a new wheel. The long and short of my story was the Nissan Dealer would not warranty any after market product and made me go to the company that did the installs.

The same holds true locally when I called around about a remote start. I have to go back to the company that does install for the dealership. They will not tell me who that is until after it it installed. WTF!

If both stopped working at the same time, I would figure a fuse. Some cars have more than one fuse box, who knows where the dealer ran power from.If you can get to the switches you can test for power with a cheap testing light from Wal-Mart.
