I just purchased a 2008 rogue and the driver seat doesn't appear to get warm when turned on. Granted it is June and the hottest days of the year, BUT shouldn't the seats get warm? Or do they just get warm and not hot? I have test driven several other vehicles before this one and all got very warm quickly but this one I can't feel it or barely feel it. The salesman said it could be fixed so I bought it but his repairman says it works fine. I don't want a vehicle with lukewarm seats....Does anyone have an answer for me? Is this typical of the Rogue or should the heating coils be replaced? It has 26,000 miles...

2 things about Rogue seat heaters:

1 - I don't notice the heated seats 'getting hot' during the summer when I try to use them. I think it's just too warm outside to notice the temperature difference. Try them again during cooler weather to see if it makes a difference.

2 - The seat heaters have an integrated thermostat to prevent overheating. If you leave them on HIGH, they will turn off after 10 minutes or so. During summer, they will likely turn off even sooner. They will eventually turn back ON once they cool down. Typically I set to HIGH until I feel the heat, then change to the LOW setting and they stay toasty warm all the time.

Trust me, the heaters work very well. Even in very cold 0F (-18C) conditions, they warm up quickly.

thanks for your response. I realize summer might make a difference-that's whyI tried this forum of Rogue users!! Anyway, the drivers seat doesn't even seem to get warm at all, which was why I had a concern. Other vehicles that I test drove got very warm within 2 minutes during similar hot weather. do you really believe it is just the heat? then I can't use it to soothe my back during the summertime as friends of mine do!!

I would have to try and see, I never use my seat heaters during the summer.

BTW, I also have heated cloth seats, not leather. Heated cloth seats are a Canada only option... in the US, heated leather seats are the only ones available.

Perhaps one of our members with heated leather seats can better answer this question?

No heated seats are going to get HOT. Litigation issues here in US, someone would ultimately get burned. I have an 04 Lexus RX330 and an 07 Infiniti G35 and the seats get WARM at best and take about 10 minutes to reach the max heat they produce. They do feel nice in the middle of winter.

It was 100 degrees here today so my seats were enviornmentally heated nicely. Rogue a/c works very well :c)
