Heat wrap stock exhaust manifold?

I have heat wrapped my stock manifold, down pipe and cold pipe with some black heat wrap. Has anyone done this? It seems like it has helped spool my gt28r faster. Plus my engine bay is alot cooler.

By holding the heat in the exhaust, you increase scavenging, which is why your turbo spools a little faster.

I should wrap my turbo header.
