What's up fellas, been trying to find a heat shield for my m37 for the longest but no luck. Was wondering would I have to go to local shop and have one made? any thoughts, thanks for any and all help.

Yeah I don't think you will be able to buy just the shield so you might have to go custom or buy a new intake and sell the actual intake to someone who doesn't care about the heat shield.

I wonder if you could take some aluminum sheeting from Home Depot and fab some heat shields yourself using a mock up with cardboard.
Bolt it or rivet it together unless you have access to TIG welder.
Then cover it with heat shield tape or wrap.
Then, figure out a way to secure it if it's not tightly fitting.
OTH, seems like a lot of work - I wonder what the cost for a custom shield would be???

I might actually have the heat shield from when I installed the Takeda intake. I’ll check and let you know.

Can't you make one? My M56 has a thin aluminum heat shield that Infiniti has fashioned from flat stock & added a few bends for stiffness.

Heat shields are sacrificial & tend to fall off older vehicles. For my fav truck, I just made a DIY heat shield from a sheet of stainless steel (yes, microwave oven cabinet) by cutting it with tin snips & bending it into proper shape. Mine is WAY better and longer lasting than the original OEM heat shield. And my SS still looks pristine, years later. OEM would have rusted away by now.

Trust me when I say this, I'm not that good at that stuff, lol.
