Heat plate below the headers

just below the headers there a heat plate to protect the power sterring. well the plate is half way broken and it rattles bad. everyone says it sounds like somethings going to break. well my question is can i only get that plate from the dealer or somewhere else. if so where? the dealer wants $67.01 for a little piece of fu*king metal. or do i not need it at all? some guy said i needed it. i don't know guys thanks again you guys always help.thanks.Powered By DeeZNuTTss 1991 240sx hatchback

i ripped all that heat-shielding off my KA exhaust. If you want to do it right.. get some exhaust wrap to replace it with.

just take it off. I took all my heat shields off to stop them from rattling.

still rattles though.
