Hi all, I have giving search a try but apparently it's no longer my friend. I am needing to know if internal wastegates are negatively affected by heat. I am using a bottom mount t25/t28 manifold, and when I attach my gti-r t28 the wastegate is right against the #1 cylinder manifold runner. Is this going to be an issue or should I just forget about it. Thanks

think about it. the same heat from that runner is going to be passing through the wastegate regardless of where it's located.

I know with a external wastegate gases/heat are passed through it but with a internal wastegate the only gases that will pass through are at the other end of the rod that opens the flapper into the exhaust stream, which is actuated by the vacuum canister that in my case is right by the runner.
