So I just bought an 04 G35. Once I got it and started driving it I noticed the heater/AC was acting funny. What's happening is when I put the temperature to its coldest setting (18C) it's cold. When I go to (18.5C) it's hot. There is no gradient from hot to cold. It's either 18 and cold air or it's hot air from 18.5C and up. Any ideas what the issue could be? I'm thinking something in the heater control itself?

There is like a motorized mixer board in there I think. It should adjust the hot and cold similar to a sink faucet. So, maybe just that one component is going bad or is stuck or something. You can look into the FSM and there is quite a bit of diagnoses and troubleshooting in there for AC/ heat systems.

Wow, thanks for that link. I'll have to take a better look. Now I'm curious if the mixer door isn't working properly or if the door isn't getting the proper signal/information.

Yeah, I wonder the same. Like I mentioned, the FSM will have some troubleshooting methods in there. Please post back with your fix for future lurkers to find.

Good luck! :bigthumb:
