WHOA, what are you people saying? First, get in your car and DRIVE! Jeez! How long does this take for you people? Go find some twisty backroads (it's Nebraska for Nissan's sake, gotta be somewhere to go! If all else fails, go tear up some field with donuts!) and drive hard! While you do this: A: Drive a car with a nice sound and listen to thatand/orB: Turn up some Incubus ("Blood on the Ground," "Under My Umbrella," and "Have you Ever?" followed by some "Are You In" to calm down) or some other band with some angry, yet message-ey music and some softer stuff to calm down after your hard trip. Finally, go out with friends and be a jackass, remember, your chick (well, ex-chick) won't care if/what you do anymore!

i dated the girl before her for two years, we got together out of spite that we hated her, and she hated us. so now i want to be back with the origional chick, well i did. Untill I ran into an old freind. him and i go to his place crack back some booze, and he tells me that this chick Kerstin that I basically grew up with was his neibor, so i run in to her "accidently". and we start talking shes me but female and hot as fu ck :). need less to say i have done lots in the last few days.

DONE!!!

Breakup songs suck. Too much drama in the world as it is.

Quit crying and go out and get some.

YEAH DID THE JACK AND COKE, AND THEN SOME RUM AND COKE, AND THEN SOME MORE JACK AND COKE, I'VE BEEN DRUNK FOR 5 DAYS.

THAT MAY BE THE SMARTEST NON CAR RELATED THING SAID ON NICO, EVER. AND THATS DAMN GOOD ADVICE.

Some people arent worth the time of being upset. Go wax your car, take some drives on twisty back roads, turn up some music, and smile.

Or just go get some!

You plow through enough silly relationships and eventually its like feh... whatever. I got my Q. :)

DID ALL THAT AND THEN SOME BRO

I just thought of an appropriate line from the Tom Hanks movie Bachelor Party when Hanks' his best friend failed to get to set Hanks to hook up with the hottest girl he ever met. I'm paraphrasing (so don't any hardcore movie guys trash me - it's been years since I've seen and it's a classic)..."Rick, I'm actually jealous of you, I've always wanted the same thing - to love just one person and have that person love me back.....hey, will you look at the cans on that bimbo..."

Don't look back,my friend. Too many fun women out there and life is too short to dwell on bad stuff.

Just act like it doesn't bother you ... that will get to her big time

And me and Hitman don't agree much on anything but I have to agree with him here.... no use in crying over spilled milk when you can go out and get some strange :ylsuper

This I totally agree, it has always been my strategy and has always worked. And it may take some time (one girl took as long as 2 years), but with this they come back 95% of the time. Don't take them back, but enjoy the sweet irony. :D

Watch the video for Audioslave's "Show Me How To Live"

Go for a drive and turn it up.

First of all... if you actually listened to Staind's music instead of taking their first two or three radio hits and using them as your basis for critique... you'd know that they've evolved, Aaron Lewis doesn't sing as much about angst and hatred and what not and more about how yeah, he had a hard life but now things are okay, everything's better, things change, etc. Guess that's what a loving wife and a new toddler will do for yer life outlook.

As far as using music as therapy goes... been there done that, a lot. Music is pretty much how I deal when I need something to turn to. I've played guitar for well over 10 years now, and it really is relaxing, whether you're playing heavy **** or classical.

When I listen to music, it really depends on the mood I'm in. Heartbreak type music usually includes Staind, some Linkin Park... Numb and Pushing Me Away in particular, umm... "Black" by Pearl Jam is definately a great song in general, but especially in that kind of situation... You can also find some good pick-me-up happy mood music... Dave Matthews Band is pretty good for that I've found... some newer Staind... Sublime... there's plenty of it out there.

There's plenty of other stuff out there... but I know that those three bands in particular (PJ, Staind, and LP) have helped me in times of trouble...
