Are you sure it wasn't an alligator?Joey666Crack wrote:The service manager said my coupe is still up on the lift, and that they won't have a definite answer for me until Tuesday. But it is apparent that I need a new RAS Motor?I think thats what the called it, and that a rat, yes a rat chewed through some wiring.
Here's the kicker. I am 18 years old, and not eligible for a loaner. The coupe is the only car I own.
I agree.....and if you are old enough to die for this great country, you should be able to have a beer!!!08.black.G37 wrote:If she is old enough and responsible enough to pay her insurance, they should loan her a car.
I test drove the car when the lights were on, and it drove amazing and I fell in love. The lights that were on were the vdc off, slip, and ras, and honestly I may be an idiot for this thought process but I saw the vdc button so I was like if I ever need it I'll turn it on, the slip light I assumed had to do with the vsld, and I just didn't know, but it drove great, and was coming from a luxury car dealer, so I assumed it was all legit.tollboothwilley wrote:How did you drive away the vehicle with the lights on??
Rats chewing through wires is a very common thing...I would know. I've worked in Pest Control for several years.

I think it would depend on the state and also what was presented at time of sale since that is different than a warranty.psicho wrote:Good luck going against the dealer. Even though there are many implied warranties with the sale of goods, any dealer who knows anything at all about the law will have you disclaim any and all such warranties in your paperwork. Look for "AS IS NO WARRANTY" in all caps, bold print. You will not win against the dealer in any legal action relating to the condition of your car at sale if you disclaimed all warranties relating to merchantability, fitness, etc. Insurance may be your best bet, but I wonder if there is some kind of "pre-existing condition" clause that will preclude recovery here as well. If I were your insurance company, I'd sure as hell argue that point. Most likely, you are f***ed.
