So i'm paranoid about the heat of the engine. It gets really hot, when i turn on the heater it gets really hot. Whats weird is that if i turn the key to the on position, the engine temp needle would jump to 2.5/4ths of the way(normal op temp). I replaced the coolant temp sensor and the thermo. If one of those is broken, would the needle still go up? I just find it weird for the needle to automaticly goto a certain temp right when i turn the key. I havent tried it with the car fully cold(meaning the next morning, but i'll have to check it out tomorrow)

After driving the car for 15 minutes i keep hearing some sort of bubbling coming from the heater hose side. I'm going to buy new hoses becuase i'm using the ones from the ka that i took out a month ago. I'm wondering how did you guys use the ka heater hose? Did you have to cut some stuff?

Oh and for radiator hoses, my top one didnt fit well, i had to cut some parts, did you guys have that problem too

go to autozone and get hoses that fit right and then jack up the front of the car and bleed the cooling system properly, that should take care of all of your concerns.

from what i searched someone on here said to bleed the ca, you just leave the cap open? and wait for the bubbles to go away? with the heater on 'hot'.

Make sure the radiator cap is the high point of the system, I beleive it is. On an RB20 though and some Hondas i have seen there is a bleed screw somewhere on the motor that is higher than the radiator cap,

there is one on the ka for sure and I think there is one on the CA too. but if you just jack the front of the car all the way up you should be ok. Someone told me it helps to turn the heater up and on while you bleed but as far as I know I think hot water is usually circulating over it anyway.

I was just having bad overheating problems with my CA. The water would not so much boil out because it didn't get too hot. It turns out the head gasket is blown and it was pressurizng the cooling system causing all the water to open a 17psi cap.
