hey guys i have a mostly stock sr on like 13lbs of boost and i wanted 2 get a new timing chain next week is there anything i can do while my head is out of the car to gain a few more hp iam already getting a cosmetic metal headgasket and ARP headstuds should i get anything else please lmk thanks ??

Unless you have serious cash, there's not much you're going to be able to get done aside from having the headgasket done up. Machine work for valve jobs/replacements isn't really cheap. And if you're doing upgraded valvetrain components, you need to factor in extra cost on all that plus shop labor.

To give you an idea on how much just my valve job alone cost me. I had a 3 angle valve job, replaced 4 intake valves, and replaced all 8 exhuast valve guides with new stem seals on all valves. labour alone was $280, plus $50 for the guides, and $50 for the valves (I got a good deal at the Nissan dealer. That should have been closer to $80). Plus I paid $90 for a full gasket set which had my stem seals in it. They normally cost about $30-$50 if you buy them seperate. That was with no upgraded componentry (save the exhaust guides). I spent over $400 just on a fix/replacement.

I would suggest, however, you avoid getting the Cometic HG. For just a few bucks more, you can get a Cosworth HG, and they are by far superior.

how about cams can i install like stage 1 cams what do you guys think how much hp will it increase and also will my car run good or will i have to tune it so it can run please lmk thanks
