You cant use this set when hooked to the charge cable though, thats about its only drawback.
You can't go wrong with Plantronics. Their main market is professional call center headsets so they know their s***. Their build quality can be a bit iffy but they always have great audio and mic quality and their noise-canceling mics work better than most.
I have two headsets at home:
A $30 wired Plantronics 510 (non-USB). The ear cups are small and get painful after a short while, but audio is good for the price.
A Sony Wireless Stereo Headset. On the PS3 it supports 7.1 virtual surround. On the PC it just does stereo. Range is a lot shorter than I'd like. But they're not overly bassy like a lot of gaming headsets are, which is great. They work best with the PS3 but I'll use them on the PC when the Plantronics get uncomfortable or when I can't afford to be wired (watching Youtube videos while ironing, etc.). The frame is well padded and quite comfortable. Battery life seems inconsistent, but I think it's a charging issue. I've gotten 6 hours out of them on several occasions, but I've also had them die after 2-3 when they wouldn't charge any further.
