I know that theres people that do not visit the other forums in nico-club, but i know theres at least a few here that havent heard of this deal.

hidextra.com has 75$ H4 Hi/Lo hid kits and 75$ H3 foglight deals those are the types of bulbs in the pathfinder and qx4, theres also other types but im referring to the pathfinder/qx4 ones as to relate to this forum.

anyways at checkout you apply this code xmasspecial-m

and it takes 21$ off your order. So in order to get the best deal for headlights and fogs, you do 2 separate orders.

so Headlight HIDS can be had for $54 and foglight hids also $54.

$54 is the final price for each one no shipping, etc.

$108 for HIDS and foglights to me is a pretty damn good deal.

This sale is running till January 4th, 2010.

Theres tons of good reviews out there about HIDEXTRA, and i have to add 1 more to that.

I ordered the 10k HID for my headlights, and they work awesome, installation takes about 30mins or so, i took out the air filter box and battery to make it alot easier, and easier to mount the ballasts. Also the h4 HIDS are Hi/Lo so you still have your hi lights, but they are only the normal yellow kind, you will most likely love the lo's because they shine 20x better than normal lights. Will post pictures later of how they look.

I also put in an order for 3k foglight hids. i only have good things to say about this company so far, and for 54$ for an HID kit, i wouldnt complain if they only lasted a year. Reviews out there, people had them for 2yrs or more.

once again website is HIDEXTRA.com, hopefully some people will score themselfs some HIDs because of this deal.

EDIT: if you want your hi's to be HID's then HIDEXTRA has the H4 bi-xenon kit for 105$ minus the 21$ coupon which brings it to $84, i personally dont use hi's much so i went with the cheaper $54 H4 hi/lo kit

hey miamiheat, that deal sounds great, but I'll havet to call you out on a few things...

10k lights are a bit too purple to be effective, no matter what your eyes are telling you; I would go for the 4-5K lights personally. Also, hi/lo..is it really worth it. They aren't bi-xenon, so like you said, you will have a standard filament bulb as you high beam...which doesn't seem like it would work too good in the PF's single bulb headlight. i guess they mght work better in the 4's headlight cluster.

however, the 3k bulbs for the fogs is spot on

how much glare is there?

Also, I highly doubt the 10k bulbs are 20x brighter. 10k is Kelvin temperature as it related to color, not brightness. Lumens are the brightness measurement. This scale maybe difficult to figure out, but as you move more toward 3000, the more yellow the light becomes and as you move more toward 10000, the more blue/purple the light becomes.

In any case, good deal on the lights. Should make a fun weekend project.

20x brighter is a figure of speech, as to say they are much better than normal bulbs. and yes i went with 10k because i also wanted the look, so its personal preference if you like 5k or something better, go ahead get them. and i do know the 10k are alot better than norm, because i can see 2x as far. Im just telling you about a deal so no need to criticize me.

Alright, I'm just going to tack it onto this thread...

Back in June, I put in my first set of the HID kit... It was great, had a really good cut off pattern. It worked really well for about a month or so. Then one bulb went out.

So, in August, I got another kit, from a different brand. Right off the bat, there were issues. First, the seller sent the wrong connector (got H13 instead of H4). Got the seller to send the right one. Then, the ballast went bad. I used the ballast from the first set.

But the biggest issue... the second kit is throwing light a lot more than the first kit, and I don't mean that in a good way. There's no clean cutoff... nothing like the first set. In the month or so with the first set, I didn't get flashed at all. But within the first week of the second, I got flashed 3 times. They've stopped flashing me (as much), as long as I have my FOG lamps on (weird). With the OEM halogens, I got flashed once a week before getting the HID kits, and that was considering I had to RAISE the aim when I installed the first HID kit.

Comparing the two bulbs... there's one MAJOR difference, the shield. The 2nd shield is completely curved, but the first, is all flat sides.

I wanted to swap the shields to see if it made a difference, but the shield on the second isn't anywhere nearly as easy to remove (at least not without damaging the plastic).

Anyone have any similar experience?

I would buy the first set again, but I complained about it being sent in a "thrown together" package... the two bulbs had nothing to hold them and were knocking on each other!!! Overall I was expecting a single box package, not two little boxes with the cables in-between. And that seller is "temporarily off" Amazon's site. This is considering I never complain about a product... so it took a bit of effort for me to give them a 2 of 5.

the seller I got them from was utronics
