headliners cannot be "repaired" like a seat can. To repair a headliner, you need to remove all of the old material (headliner is a foam backed cloth, and once the foam seperates from the cloth, cannot be reglued because the glue will come through the cloth) and clean any loose stuff from the board. Then you need to find some NEW headliner material and glue it onto your board with contact adhesive.
HOWEVER, if you've never done this, don't have access to headliner material or sprayable contact adhesive, you're better off taking it to a shop and having it done professonally. Around here a headliner replacement in any color you want averages between $65 and $85, which includes the labor to remove and reinstall your headliner, and recovering it in new material.
Just a little bit of info for ya, headliner DOESN'T accept dye very well and your more likely to cause more problems by doing it. IMO, working for an upholstry shop for the past 10 years, you're better off just having it replaced in black.
