Headlights / Taillights and spoilers

Hey guys,

I'm in the process of buying a 2008 350z Touring within the next few days. I'm getting it in white and I was wondering how I would go about getting the black taillights and headlights. Should I attempt to "black them out" with the spray manually (first time I would have done this) or should I buy new lights with the black backing... and if I did, does anyone have any suggestions?

Next question on the side is, what is everyone's viewpoint on putting a spoiler on the 08 Z... and if you like 'em which ones?

I like the stock spoiler, as for blacking out the lights, has the 80's come back in style? I think one of the reasons these fell from popularity in the 90's was that they are illeagle in a lot of places, generally speaking seeing where you are going and people being able to see your tail lights is a good thing

ya i meant smoke out lights... is that illegal? or black backgrounding?

its only illegal if you tint your reverse lights...last time i did this was in 96. Are you bringing the good old days back?

since the Z reverse lights are in a different light cluster, just spray away- you might get unwanted attention from the cops though with your tinted tail lights

I like the stock spoiler. I'm planning on putting the JDM tail-lights on my 350z. I think they look a lot better than blacked-out tail lights. Post up some pics when you get it.

I would get the tint for them. If you go on ebay its like 20 bucks, and is precut to fit. Thats what i am doing to mine.
