well the housing has hid's i just want to have clear lenses for the head lights. head light housing came off a 99-01 q45 or aftermarket for that year i just bought the car its a 98

Well it is still not clear what you are asking, at least to me.

If you have the later headlamp assemblies and the ballasts, all you need is the bulb. D2R for the HID.

So very precisely, as you are in possession of the 1999 headlamp units, what exactly is your question?

If by "clear" you mean the 1999-2001 units, know that there are tow types: one on the t and ae models that are blacked out in the interior non-reflector area and one that is bright chrome on those areas (standard).

You will need ballasts also. The units are very rare used as they are snapped-up and polished by the owners hwo bust a lens.

Cost new from Joe is $900 per unit, which is without ballast, I believe:

Maybe yes, maybe no. Read Zinkie13's post on how he adapted Valeo's to the earlier headlamp assemblies.
