On my 98Q T moisture collects in the drivers side headlamp assy, the reflective paint on the bottom is dulled so the light projection is diminished. I want to replace my lamp assy with one from a 99Q, i'm told they won't fit because of grille, is this true? Also i found this company out of Canada that will sell me a H4/9003 4300k Bi-Xenon HID conversion kit. Anyone with any experience in this area?

You will have to get the ballast also as the 99 is HID.

They will physically bolt up but the 99+ look completely different and the wiring is also different. Its possible but difficult and expensive as the 99+ headlights go for about $750 a pair at the cheapest used and are $2500 from dealer.

I have the xenon retofit kit and it is an easy install and works well if the lights are lowered so as to not blind oncoming drivers.

How much is the kit? Also, why don't you get you headlights professionally cleaned? It will make the front of your car look so much better. I had a guy do my headlights last May for $60 and it made a huge difference. The front of my car look brand new again. I hated that haze yellow s**t on my headlights.

The kit is $279.99. There is no haze on the outside of the lens but on the inside the condensation that collects has dulled the reflective paint.

Who would I go to for something like that? I've noticed a bit of moisture on the inside of my driver's side headlamp. I don't like it.

I totally understand. On my 98, both headlights were replaced before I bought the car and were nice and clear. Lately, I noticed the passenger side had a lot of moisture inside and it looked like crap. I removed the headlight and did my best to remove all the water inside using compressed air and and paper towels and then let it dry overnight. I got about 90% of the water out and then I ran a small bead of clear silicone around the entire perimeter where the lens meets the black plastic housing.

I reinstalled it and noticed there is still some moisture a few days later (probably from the remaining water), but hopefully it will dry out with the heat of the headlight bulb. I will know whether I fixed the leak since it is scheduled to rain hard for the next four days. Will keep you posted.

Cool. I hope it works. I hate seeing condensation on the inside of my headlights.

** Update **

Well, it rained pretty hard all wknd and so far, no additional moisture. There is still some residual moisture near the side marker bulb. I may pull the battery and pull the bulb and then try and use a flexible wire, etc wrapped in in paper towel to try and absorb the remaining water.

I think because the side bulb doesn't get as hot as the headlight bulb it will take some additional time to completely dry it out. Looks a hell of a lot better though.

Great! Have any pictures? I didn't see any moisture today, but then again, it's been fairly dry.
