Headlights rubbing on hood while opening. how to adjust hood & headlights?

Out of the blue, my right headlight started rubbing against the hood. NO, the car was not wrecked. I just turned my lights on one day and heard a squeak. I got out to investigate and saw the that the rear of the headlight clips the hood just slightly while it's opening.

I figured the hood got misaligned from 13 years of opening and closing. I adjusted the hood and got it to stop rubbing...now the hood looks crooked. I straightened the hood and now the headlight rubs again.

The car was not wrecked and has the original OEM nissan hood and lined up perfectly before.

Could the headlight module itself have wiggled in its mount? I didn't see anywhere I could adjust the position of the entire module.

Anyone have any suggestions? Are there any tips anyone can offer on how to get these darned things to line up? My car looks like ***!
