Does anyone know why the headligths rise and fall at uneven speeds. Is it an electrical problem, ot is it that the two motors are mechanically differenent. This is pretty frustrating because i just got the Pivot headlight controller and when the lights stop in "sleeper mode", they make my car look like its got a lazy eye. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem when I had to replace my driver side headlight assembly after my gf tapped into several cars trying to park. I noticed that the metal arms coming from the headlight motors are at different angles and cause the timing of the headlight to be off by a an inch or so. You can take those arms off by unbolting them, then try to even them up as much as possible when putting them back on. On mine the replaced assembly still looks slightly sluggish when I put them up or down, but they always end up at the same height as each other. Hope that helps :D

One of the motors might be going out.

i tried adjusting the arms that are attached to the motor, but they still end up in differnet places when i move them up or down. also, i tried sanding the area where they ground so it has a better contact to metal but it didnt really work. So im going to take a trip to the junkyard and see if i cant pick up some new motors, afterall, my car is an 89 the motors could be going bad.
