Hi all. New to the forum and have searched high and low for an answer to a pretty simple question . . .

Does the 1997 J30 have a headlight warning tone? My kid got the J30 from his uncle and my kid continually leaves the lights on, which drains the battery, requiring a jump.

I can't imagine that there isn't one, and if there is, what's the problem (fuse, relay, etc.)?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

The earlier models had one, I'm not sure if later models did or didn't. I know Nissan was near bankruptcy in '97 and later J models where decontented and priced lower to sell.

Yes, the 1997 J30 came with the warning tone, but its called the "key warning"look in the fuse panel located down by the parking brake pedalit will be the 10a fuse in the middle row, farthest on the lefthope it helps!

Yes, the key warning tone comes on when the keys are left in, engine off and the door is opened.
